Hot, dry weather with rain at scat­ted places

IS­LAM­ABAD—Mainly very hot and dry weather is ex­pected in most parts of the coun­try how­ever, rain-thun­der­storm is likely at few places in Kash­mir and its ad­join­ing ar­eas dur­ing next 24 hours. Low pres­sure area lies over North Balochis­tan and its ad­join­ing ar­eas with its trough ex­tend­ing north­east­wards.

A west­erly wave is likely to af­fect up­per parts of the coun­try dur­ing next 24 hours, an of­fi­cial of Met of­fice told APP. In last hours rain-thun­der­storm oc­curred at scat­tered places in up­per Pun­jab, Is­lam­abad, Khaber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gil­gitBaltistan and Kash­mir.

Weather re­mained hot and dry else­where in the coun­try dur­ing this du­ra­tion. Rain­fall recorded dur­ing this time span re­mained Garhi Du­patta 53mm, Rawalakot 17mm, Muzaf­farabad 6mm, Kotli 5mm, La­hore PBO 25mm, Faisal­abad 21mm, Gu­jran­wala 20mm, Sar­godha 16mm, La­hore A/P 12mm, Jhang 11mm, Mur­ree 5mm, Sialkot Cantt 4mm, Is­lam­abad Z.P 3mm, Mangla 3mm, Sialkot A/P 1mm, Kamra 1mm, Rawalpindi 1mm, Mandiba­haud­din 1mm, Saidu Sharif 20mm, Pat­tan 16mm, Cherat 13mm, D.I.Khan 13mm, Drosh 13mm, Kakul 12mm, Parachi­nar 12mm, Kalam 11mm, Balakot 7mm and Gilgit 2mm.
