Res­cue 1122 cel­e­brates 12th year of life-sav­ing ser­vices

RAWALPINDI—The Di­rec­tor Gen­eral Pun­jab Emer­gency Ser­vice Brig.(R) Dr Ar­shad Zia highly ac­knowl­edged the ser­vices of pioneer badge of Res­cue 1122, on com­ple­tion of 12 years of Ser­vice and ap­pre­ci­ated the pro­fes­sional com­mit­ment, per­for­mance and en­thu­si­asm of all pi­o­neers.

Ad­dress­ing the pi­o­neers, he said that the se­nior man­age­ment is fo­cus­ing to­wards ca­pac­ity build­ing and welfare of res­cuers of Pun­jab Emer­gency Ser­vice in all as­pects, says a press re­lease is­sued here on Tues­day.

Dur­ing his ad­dress, The DG ad­vised all the res­cuers to con­tinue per­form­ing du­ties with same zeal and zest in or­der to en­sure op­ti­mum pro­vi­sion of Emer­gency Ser­vices to the cit­i­zens of Pun­jab with­out any dis­crim­i­na­tion.

The DG graced the oc­ca­sion along with Re­gional Emer­gency Of­fi­cer Dr. Za­far Shah, Deputy Di­rec­tor (HR&A) Dr. Fooad Shahzad Mirza, Deputy Di­rec­tor (P&D) Fa­heem Ah­mad Qureshi, Deputy Di­rec­tor, Fi­nance, Naeem Mukhtar, Deputy Di­rec­tor, Op­er­a­tions, Ayaz As­lam, Deputy Di­rec­tor (R&M) Ir­fan Naseer, Pioneer Res­cuers and se­nior of­fi­cers of Res­cue 1122.

On the oc­ca­sion, Pi­o­neers shared their ex­pe­ri­ences and achieve­ments of their prac­ti­cal life sav­ing ca­reer.

The Deputy Di­rec­tor (HR&A) Dr Fooad Shahzad Mirza said it was a his­tor­i­cal mo­ment when Res­cue 1122 dealt first emer­gency in Res­cue 1122 am­bu­lance.

He shared with res­cuers that the pi­o­neers burnt mid­night oil to es­tab­lish cur­rent in­fra­struc­ture and build a good re­pute of Pun­jab Emer­gency Ser­vice.

He also praised the com­mit­ment, ded­i­ca­tion, hard work, pro­fes­sion­al­ism of pioneer badge.

Other res­cuers ex­pressed that they al­ways feel proud to be a part of this life sav­ing emer­gency ser­vice and own it from core of their heart.

It is note­wor­thy that Pun­jab Emer­gency Ser­vice re­sponded to more than 3.4 mil­lion emer­gen­cies and saved over four mil­lion vic­tims while main­tain­ing av­er­age re­sponse time of less than seven min­utes.—APP
