PESHAWAR—Rural Health Centre (RHC) Yaar Hussain Swabi has been upgraded to 50 bedded category D Hospital. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Shahram Khan Tarakai formally inaugurated the construction work on the hospital in a function held at Yaar Hussain Swabi on Wednesday.
The new hospital will be built with a cost of about 30 million rupees and will have all the necessary specialties including medical, surgical, gynaecology, paedriatics, emergency service, surgery and all diagnostics services.
Addressing the inaugural function as chief guest Shahram Khan Tarakai said that ensuring the availability of quality healthcare service to the public at their door step was on top of the priority list of the sitting provincial government for which all the available resources are being utilized.
He added that the upgradation of RHC Yaar Hussain to category D hospital will not only ensure the provision of quality healthcare facilities to the people at their door steps but will also create employment opportunities for the locals.
Touching upon other developmental projects of health sector in district Swabi, the Provincial Senior Minister informed that various developmental projects of health sector worth two billion rupees were being executed in district Swabi which include the establishment of Gajju Khan Medical College, upgradation of Civil Hospital Topi to category C Hospital, upgradation of BHU Shewa to RHC, maintenance renovation and repair work of DHQ Hospital Swabi, THQ Hospital Lahor and Bacha Khan Meical Complex Swabi etc. The function was also addressed by MNA Usman Khan Tarakai and Senator Liaqat Khan Tarakai.
