Hospi­tal up­graded

PE­SHAWAR—Ru­ral Health Cen­tre (RHC) Yaar Hus­sain Swabi has been up­graded to 50 bed­ded cat­e­gory D Hospi­tal. Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Se­nior Min­is­ter for Shahram Khan Tarakai for­mally in­au­gu­rated the con­struc­tion work on the hospi­tal in a func­tion held at Yaar Hus­sain Swabi on Wed­nes­day.

The new hospi­tal will be built with a cost of about 30 mil­lion ru­pees and will have all the nec­es­sary spe­cial­ties in­clud­ing med­i­cal, sur­gi­cal, gy­nae­col­ogy, paedri­at­ics, emer­gency ser­vice, surgery and all di­ag­nos­tics ser­vices.

Ad­dress­ing the in­au­gu­ral func­tion as chief guest Shahram Khan Tarakai said that en­sur­ing the avail­abil­ity of qual­ity health­care ser­vice to the pub­lic at their door step was on top of the pri­or­ity list of the sitting pro­vin­cial govern­ment for which all the avail­able re­sources are be­ing uti­lized.

He added that the upgra­da­tion of RHC Yaar Hus­sain to cat­e­gory D hospi­tal will not only en­sure the pro­vi­sion of qual­ity health­care fa­cil­i­ties to the peo­ple at their door steps but will also cre­ate em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties for the lo­cals.

Touch­ing upon other de­vel­op­men­tal projects of health sec­tor in dis­trict Swabi, the Pro­vin­cial Se­nior Min­is­ter in­formed that var­i­ous de­vel­op­men­tal projects of health sec­tor worth two bil­lion ru­pees were be­ing ex­e­cuted in dis­trict Swabi which in­clude the es­tab­lish­ment of Ga­jju Khan Med­i­cal Col­lege, upgra­da­tion of Civil Hospi­tal Topi to cat­e­gory C Hospi­tal, upgra­da­tion of BHU Shewa to RHC, main­te­nance ren­o­va­tion and re­pair work of DHQ Hospi­tal Swabi, THQ Hospi­tal La­hor and Bacha Khan Me­ical Com­plex Swabi etc. The func­tion was also ad­dressed by MNA Us­man Khan Tarakai and Sen­a­tor Li­aqat Khan Tarakai.
