Con­struc­tion of 208 new shops soon

HAFIZABAD—Dis­trict Co­or­di­na­tion Of­fi­cer Hafizabad, Muham­mad Ah­mad Ra­jwana said more than 208 shops are be­ing con­structed with a cost of Rs 50m in the premises of old Sabzi Mandi located on Alipur Road to make it a Model Bazar with a view to en­sure pro­vi­sion of cheap and stan­dard com­modi­ties to the peo­ple and to elim­i­nate en­croach­ment on the city roads.

He said that a com­plaint of­fice, tuck shop, dis­pen­sary, green belt and toi­lets are be­ing con­structed in the Model Bazar. He said that about 100 shops would be com­pleted by June 1 and Ra­mazan Bazar would also be es­tab­lished in the Model Bazar to pre­vent traf­fic haz­ards on busiest roads of the city.
