SBP team to take part in Inter-Provincial U-17 Football Championship

LAHORE—Sports Board Punjab (SBP) youth under-17 football team departed for Gilgit Baltistan here on Thursday to take part in InterProvincial U-17 (Boys) Football Championship being played there from May 28 to 30. The teams from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, FATA, Islamabad, Wapda and Army will take part in the three-day junior soccer extravaganza.
Following is the touring SBP football squad: Bilal Waheed (captain), Mohammad Talha Niaz (vice-captain), Mudassar Ali, Ali Muavia, Mohammad Imran, Umair Sheraz, Mohammad Azeem Iqbal, Saifur Rehman, Mohammad Umair, Haider Zaman Butt, Mohsin Manzoor, Mohammad Shahbaz, Zain Khalid, Ameer Hamza, Taimoor Safdar Masih, Hamad Hussain, H Ahsan and Sufian.
Team officials are Mohammad Sajid (manager), Hafiz Tahir Mehmood (coach) and Mohammad Faisal (assistant coach).
Meanwhile, The Islamabad Sports Board (ISB) on Thursday announced 18-member squad for the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Inter-Provincial Under-17 Football Championship scheduled to be played from May 28 at Gilgit.
According to Islamabad Sports Board, Secretary, Muhammad Asghar Ali, the 18-member squad includes Muhammad Ijaz, Sultan Khan, Roohullaha, Ifnan Shahid,Haseeb Ahmed Khan, Ammar Arshad, Zeeshan Zulfiqar, Syed Mustafa, Muhammad Ahmad, Saifullah Abbasi, Hassan Shereen, Syed Abdullah Shah ,Hurara Farooqi, Amir Hamza, M.Osama Naeem, Nofil Hussain, Abdullah Shoukat and Hamza Shoukat.
“Rana Tanveer Ahmed and Muhammad Ramzan Qasuri will accompany the team as Coordinator/Coach and Manager, respectively,” he said.
He said the Football Championship would continue till May 30.
A total of eight teams from all over the country will take part in the championship including Punjab, KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, Fata, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.—APP
