Youm-e-Tak­beer be­ing ob­served across coun­try

LAHORE—Youm-e-Tak­beer is be­ing cel­e­brated To­day (Satur­day) across coun­try with a pledge to de­fend the coun­try against any ag­gres­sion.

Pak­istan is the first and only Mus­lim coun­try to achieve the sta­tus of a nu­clear power af­ter con­duct­ing nu­clear tests at Chaghai in Baluchis­tan on 28th May, 1998 as a re­sponse to In­dia’s nu­clear bomb tests on 11th and 13th May of the same year at Pokhran in Ra­jhasthan state of In­dia.

In the morn­ing, spe­cial pray­ers will be of­fered for the progress and pros­per­ity of the coun­try, supremacy of the con­sti­tu­tion, and erad­i­ca­tion of ter­ror­ism. Dif­fer­ent or­ga­ni­za­tions will ar­range spe­cial pro­grammes and func­tions and bring out ral­lies to high­light im­por­tance of the day.
