FC mar­tyrs ser­vices eu­lo­gised for Balochis­tan peace

QUETTA—Com­man­der South­ern Com­mand, Lt Gen­eral Aamir Riaz has said that credit went to the Fron­tier Corps for peace in Balochis­tan whose per­son­nel were mar­tyred in the line of duty while fight­ing an­tipeace el­e­ments.

He was ad­dress­ing a cer­e­mony held to dis­trib­ute keys of newly con­structed homes for the fam­i­lies of FC mar­tyrs, here on Friday. In­spec­tor Gen­eral, Fron­tier Corps Balochis­tan, Maj Gen­eral Sher Af­gun and se­nior of­fi­cials were also present.

He said: “No doubt, FC played re­mark­able and im­por­tant role in restora­tion of peace even it lost a num­ber of its of­fi­cials and per­son­nel while they were fight­ing ter­ror­ism in Balochis­tan.” He said that FC had also taken strin­gent mea­sures for con­tin­u­a­tion of de­vel­op­ment process and ad­vance­ment of ed­u­ca­tion in the prov­ince.

He said that some for­eign el­e­ments were in­volved in hatch­ing con­spir­a­cies to cre­ate chaos, un­rest and law­less­ness in Balochis­tan, adding that se­cu­rity forces in­clud­ing the Pak Army, FC and oth­ers in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Baloch and Pash­toon peo­ple had jointly been foil­ing ne­far­i­ous de­signs of en­e­mies of Pak­istan.

He said that he paid rich trib­utes to the mar­tyrs of FC and added that their fam­i­lies would not be left alone. The fam­i­lies of FC mar­tyrs will be pro­vided with all avail­able help and col­lab­o­ra­tion, he said. He ap­pre­ci­ated the FC for con­struct­ing new homes for the fam­i­lies of mar­tyrs. Later, he dis­trib­uted keys of newly con­structed homes among the heirs of the mar­tyrs.—APP
