In­flux of money in pol­i­tics proved ru­inous for com­mon man: Sikan­dar

COR­RE­SPON­DENCE FATEHPU/THAKYALA, IHK—For­mer pres­i­dent/ prime min­is­ter of AJK and se­nior leader of PML-N has ob­served that the in­un­da­tion of money into pol­i­tics has ru­ined the con­di­tion of gen­eral work­ers and com­mon­man. He made this ob­ser­va­tion while talk­ing to a vis­it­ing team of Fauji Foun­da­tion in­spec­tors here Satur­day.

Fauji Foun­da­tion school’s build­ing has been com­pleted. Con­struc­tion funds were pro­vided by the Kash­mir Coun­cil.

Re­call­ing the achieve­ments of his gov­ern­ments from 1970 to 2006, he said that he ini­ti­ated big pub­lic util­ity projects start­ing from the elec­tri­fi­ca­tion of en­tire Nikyal area and es­tab­lish­ment of Kash­mir Lib­er­a­tion

OCell. Dur­ing my gov­ern­ment 98 per cent budget was uti­lized. Now to ex­pend 80 mil­lion ru­pees, 700 mil­lion are be­ing spent in AJK.

Sar­dar Sikander Hayat Khan charged that Kash­mir Coun­cil seats were openly auc­tioned.Price of per seat was Rs. 280 mil­lion. No honor or pres­tige are let in pol­i­tics now. Highly re­spected politi­cians like Sar­dar Ibrahim Khan, Sar­dar Ab­dul Qayyum Khan, KH Khur­sheed, Ghazi Elahi Bux and Ch Noor Hus­sain have left this world.

Re­fer­ring to the lib­er­a­tion of Kash­mir strug­gle, Sar­dar Sikander paid rich trib­ute to Pathans of Ky­ber Pukhtoonkhwa for their brave role say­ing that among four Hi­lal-e-Kash­mir/equal to Nis­han-e-Haider three are Pathans and one is Kash­miri Naik Saif Ali Ma­lik.
