Anti polio drive in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI—Anti polio drive concluded in district Rawalpindi, which started on May 23. During the campaign, almost 811,798 children in the district below five years of age were administered polio drops. About 1850 teams were constituted to achieve the target.
Talking to APP, Executive District Health Officer Dr. Arshad Ali Sabir on Sunday said special counters were established at public parks, railway stations, bus stands, airport and other transit points to administer anti-polio drops to the children. He lauded the staff of the district health department who played a key role to make the campaign result oriented.
Dr. Arshad said the district health department was making all out efforts to make district Rawalpindi polio-free.—APP
