Rs2.5m sales tax re­cov­ered

MUL­TAN—Ad­di­tional Com­mis­sioner of Pun­jab Rev­enue Authority (South) claimed to have re­cov­ered Rs 2.5 mil­lion from sales tax de­fault­ers dur­ing on-go­ing drive car­ried out in dif­fer­ent parts of South Pun­jab.

A three-mem­ber team led by Zee­shan Nazir Khan took the ac­tion upon in­struc­tion from Chair­man Pun­jab Rev­enue Authority (PRA) in dif­fer­ent cities and ar­eas of the re­gion.

The team held raids in 11 ho­tels and mo­tels at Khyabad-e-Dawood Hous­ing So­ci­ety of Ah­mad Pur Shar­qia, Shal­i­mar Town Hous­ing scheme and Iqbal Gar­den Hous­ing Scheme Mul­tan.—Agen­cies
