Pak­istan Baitul Mall fo­cuses on fi­nan­cial help: Abid

PE­SHAWAR—Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Pak­istan Baitul Mall (PBM), Bar­ris­ter Abid Wa­heed Shaikh Mon­day said that en­tire na­tion was pray­ing for early re­cov­ery of the Prime Min­is­ter, Muhammed Nawaz Sharif.

Ad­dress­ing the in­au­gu­ral ses­sion of Na­tional Cen­tre for Child Labour and Or­phans at tehsil Jam­rud of Khy­ber Agency, the MD said that Prime Min­is­ter if had es­tab­lished Pak­istan Baitul Mall for fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance of poor and needy peo­ple in 1992 and a large num­ber of peo­ple were ben­e­fited from it.

He said as per di­rec­tion of the Prime Min­is­ter, spe­cial fo­cus was be­ing given in pro­vi­sion of fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance to poor, or­phans and needy peo­ple of the coun­try in­clud­ing KP and Fata to stand them on their own feet. He said Pak­istan Baitul Mall was utiliz­ing all avail­able re­sources to equip or­phan and child labour­ers with or­na­ment of ed­u­ca­tion, adding ed­u­ca­tion could pre­vent them from in­dulging in un­nec­es­sary ac­tiv­i­ties. Wa­heed Sheikh said chil­dren were our fu­ture and no na­tion could make progress un­less equip­ping them with or­na­ment of ed­u­ca­tion.

He stressed the need for pro­vid­ing all ba­sic fa­cil­i­ties of life to tribal peo­ple be­sides bring them into na­tional main­stream.
