Pan­dits should op­pose sep­a­rate colonies: Bazaz

SRI­NA­GAR—In oc­cu­pied Kash­mir, the chair­man of Jammu and Kash­mir Demo­cratic Fo­rum (JKDF), Bhushan Bazaz, has ve­he­mently op­posed the de­mand for es­tab­lish­ment of sep­a­rate colonies for Pan­dits in the Val­ley and has asked Pan­dits to op­pose the move.

Bhushan Bazaz in a state­ment is­sued in Jammu said that the cre­ation of sep­a­rate colonies was a chal­lenge to Kash­miriyat and the ma­jor­ity of Pan­dit pop­u­la­tion will not ac­cept this pro­posal which will di­vide the Kash­miri so­ci­ety.“The Mus­lims and Pan­dits have al­ways lived like broth­ers, shared hap­pi­ness and sor­rows with one an­other.—KMS
