Illegal Afghans entry via Torkham border banned
KHYBER AGENCY—Pakistan border authorities at Torkham have banned entry of Afghans via Torkham border without legal travel documents from 1st June 2016 (today), sources said on Tuesday.
An official of the political administration at Torkham told this scribe that Khyber Rifle Force personnel at Torkham made announcements through loud speakers that nobody will be permitted to enter via Torkham border without having legal passport and valid visa from 1st June,2016.
The Torkham border sources said that security on Pak-Afghan border has been tighten and extra Khasadar and security force personnel have been deployed at various points in Torkham to curb the illegal entry of persons into Pakistan territory.
Sources also said that banners have also fasten in various places in Torkham with warning to Afghan nationals not to enter Pakistan territory via Torkham without valid travel documents. It is pertinent to mention here that two days before a meeting was held between Pakistan and Afghanistan officials at Torkham discussing the border issue.
