“My best wishes to PM Nawaz Sharif Sa­hab for his open heart surgery on Tues­day. And for his speedy re­cov­ery & good health,” Modi wrote.

The For­eign Of­fice said, “Pres­i­dent Putin, joined by other lead­ers of Rus­sian Fed­er­a­tion, con­veyed PM Nawaz Sharif wishes for suc­cess­ful surgery and speedy re­cov­ery.”

Pres­i­dent of Turkey Re­cep Tayyip Er­do­gan also wishes Prime Min­is­ter Muham­mad Nawaz Sharif early re­cov­ery after his open heart surgery in a Lon­don hospi­tal.

Ac­cord­ing to press re­lease from Pak­istan’s min­istry of for­eign af­fairs, Pres­i­dent of Turkey Re­cep Tayyip Er­do­gan tele­phoned Prime Min­is­ter Muham­mad Nawaz Sharif in Lon­don and con­veyed his best wishes for a suc­cess­ful heart surgery and speed­i­est re­cov­ery.

Prime Min­is­ter Nawaz Sharif ex­pressed grat­i­tude for Pres­i­dent Er­do­gan’s thought­ful ges­ture and con­veyed pro­found thanks for his best wishes and prayers.

Sev­eral other lead­ers from around the world in­clud­ing Rus­sian Pres­i­dent Vladimir Putin ex­tended best wishes to PM for his suc­cess­ful op­er­a­tion and im­me­di­ate re­cov­ery.

Ear­lier, Afghan pres­i­dent Ashraf Ghani also sent well wishes for PM Nawaz.

“I would like to send my best wishes to PM Nawaz Sharif and his fam­ily. Hope the surgery goes al­right. We pray for his speedy re­cu­per­a­tion,” Ghani tweeted.

On Mon­day, the PM ad­dressed an eco­nomic meet­ing and sign­ing off on bud­get pro­pos­als for the up­com­ing fis­cal year.
