OGDCL tal­ent hunt cer­e­mony held

KARACHI—Ori­en­ta­tion cer­e­mony of Na­tional, Balochis­tan and Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Tal­ent Hunt Pro­grams (THP) and Na­tional Tal­ent Hunt Pro­gram (NTHP) held at IBA Cam­pus, Karachi. Dr. Zeenat Is­mail, Co­or­di­na­tor Tal­ent Hunt Pro­gram, while com­menc­ing the event, said ‘IBA is proud to wel­come 120 stu­dents from, Balochis­tan, Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa and all over Pak­istan to be a part of this pro­gram.’ Dr. Zeenat wished the as­pir­ing can­di­dates the best of luck and cau­tioned that this was just the be­gin­ning and it would re­quire a lot of hard work to get ad­mis­sion into IBA, she also em­pha­sized on IBA’s pen­chant for main­tain­ing dis­ci­pline. Dr. Zeenat also pro­fusely thanked the ma­jor spon­sors of these pro­grams, the OGDCL and Ih­san Trust.

With an aim to pre­pare ex­cep­tion­ally tal­ented X and XI stu­dents from un­der­priv­i­leged fam­i­lies, IBA Karachi launched the Na­tional Tal­ent Hunt Pro­grams in 2004. These Tal­ent Hunt Pro­grams (THP) are aimed at the stu­dents from Sindh, Pun­jab, Balochis­tan, Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Gil­git-Baltistan. So far, around 400 stu­dents have been in­ducted in IBA’s un­der­grad­u­ate pro­grams through these THPs.
