Very hot, dry weather prediced

ISLAMABAD— Pak­istan Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal De­part­ment ( PMD) has prediced very hot and dry weather in most parts of the coun­try dur­ing the next 24 hours. How­ever, rain- thunderstorm is ex­pected at few places in Malakand, Zhob di­vi­sions and FATA dur­ing evening/ night.

Ac­cord­ing to met of­fice, Mir­purkhas, Sukkur, Sha­heed Be­nazirabad, Hy­der­abad, Sibbi, Makran di­vi­sions and south Pun­jab ( Mul­tan, Ba­hawalpur, DG Khan di­vi­sions) will re­main in the grip of in­tense heat. Dust rais­ing winds are also ex­pected in Mul­tan, Ba­hawalpur, Quetta, Mir­purkhas and Hy­der­abad di­vi­sions.

Sea­sonal low pres­sure area lies over south­east Iran with its trough ex­tend­ing south­east­wards. A west­erly wave is likely to en­ter western parts of the coun­try tonight and likely to spread to up­per parts of the coun­try on Thurs­day.

Weather re­mained very hot and dry in the most parts of the coun­try dur­ing the last 24 hours. How­ever, rain-thun­der-storm oc­curred at few places in Khuz­dar.—
