KP Govt ap­proves ADP for FY 2016- 17


PE­SHAWAR— The govern­ment of Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa has ap­proved the broad pa­ram­e­ters of An­nual De­vel­op­ment Pro­gramme 2016- 17 Wed­nes­day. The ADP for the next fi­nan­cial year will be based on re­al­is­tic fig­ures with con­cen­tra­tion of timely ex­e­cu­tion of the de­vel­op­men­tal schemes par­tic­u­larly the com­ple­tion of the on­go­ing schemes within the stip­u­lated pe­ri­ods.

The two- days marathon meet­ing presided over by the Chief Min­is­ter Khyebr Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khat­tak at KP House Islamabad on Tues­day and Wed­nes­day was reg­u­larly at­tended by Se­nior Min­is­ter Sikan­dar Khan Sher­pao, Fi­nance Min­is­ter Muzaf­far Syed Chief Sec­re­tary Amjid Ali Khan and Ad­di­tional Chief Sec­re­tary Muham­mad Azam Khan, Sec­re­tary P& DD and Fi­nance while all other min­is­ters and Sec­re­taries rep­re­sented their re­spec­tive de­part­ments. The par­tic­i­pants re­viewed the progress on the on­go­ing schemes in the Prov­ince and over all po­si­tion of the ADP for the cur­rent Fi­nan­cial Year and ex­pressed sat­is­fac­tion over the achieve­ments so far made. Fi­nal touches will be given to the ADP for the up­com­ing Fi­nan­cial Year within a few days.

Mean­while, The Chief Min­is­ter Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khat­tak has con­sti­tuted an Ex­ec­u­tive Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee for CPEC Projects for Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa com­pris­ing Ghu­lam Dast­gir, Chair­man EZDMC ( Eco­nomic Zone De­vel­op­ment & Man­age­ment Com­pany), Iskan­dar Khan, Mohsin Syed, Dr. Mohsin Khan, Sec­re­tary En­ergy & Power KP, Sec­re­tary In­dus­tries, Sahibzada Saeed Ah­mad Head of SSU. Sec­re­tary P& D KP will per­form as Sec­re­tary to the Com­mit­tee. The Com­mit­tee will act as a Se­nior Ad­vi­sory panel to the pro­vin­cial govern­ment on all mat­ters re­lated to the CPEC project, rep­re­sent the prov­ince in CPEC re­lated ac­tiv­i­ties both in Pak­istan and over­seas. It will also con­duct re­search on mat­ters of rel­e­vance to CPEC project, ex­plore po­ten­tial projects for in­clu­sion in the CPEC agenda and en­sure suc­cess­ful im­ple­men­ta­tion of CPEC. The com­mit­tee will as­sist the pro­vin­cial govern­ment and leg­is­la­tors in mat­ters re­lated to CPEC and main­tain good li­ai­son be­tween pro­vin­cial govern­ment and Chi­nese of­fi­cials.
