KP Govt approves ADP for FY 2016- 17
PESHAWAR— The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved the broad parameters of Annual Development Programme 2016- 17 Wednesday. The ADP for the next financial year will be based on realistic figures with concentration of timely execution of the developmental schemes particularly the completion of the ongoing schemes within the stipulated periods.
The two- days marathon meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Khyebr Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak at KP House Islamabad on Tuesday and Wednesday was regularly attended by Senior Minister Sikandar Khan Sherpao, Finance Minister Muzaffar Syed Chief Secretary Amjid Ali Khan and Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan, Secretary P& DD and Finance while all other ministers and Secretaries represented their respective departments. The participants reviewed the progress on the ongoing schemes in the Province and over all position of the ADP for the current Financial Year and expressed satisfaction over the achievements so far made. Final touches will be given to the ADP for the upcoming Financial Year within a few days.
Meanwhile, The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has constituted an Executive Advisory Committee for CPEC Projects for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa comprising Ghulam Dastgir, Chairman EZDMC ( Economic Zone Development & Management Company), Iskandar Khan, Mohsin Syed, Dr. Mohsin Khan, Secretary Energy & Power KP, Secretary Industries, Sahibzada Saeed Ahmad Head of SSU. Secretary P& D KP will perform as Secretary to the Committee. The Committee will act as a Senior Advisory panel to the provincial government on all matters related to the CPEC project, represent the province in CPEC related activities both in Pakistan and overseas. It will also conduct research on matters of relevance to CPEC project, explore potential projects for inclusion in the CPEC agenda and ensure successful implementation of CPEC. The committee will assist the provincial government and legislators in matters related to CPEC and maintain good liaison between provincial government and Chinese officials.
