SU VC dies
HYDERABAD —Abida Tahrani, Vice Chancellor of University of Sind died in a hospital in London. She has been under treatment for a long time due to cancer. She died at the age of 61.
Dr. Abida Tahrani started her career from the university as a lecturer in department of economics in 1977.
She did her PhD from Colorado State University, USA. She supervised/produced 20 PhDs and 6 M Phil scholars. She has been remained on various important positions in the university. In 2015, she was appointed VC of the University.
