Art Play ‘Ishq Daim’ re­ceives ap­pre­ci­a­tion

—APP RAWALPINDI—An art play “Ishq Daim” was staged un­der aus­pices of Rawalpindi Arts Coun­cil (RAC) to pro­vide neat and clean en­ter­tain­ment to the fam­i­lies of twin cities. The play was writ­ten and di­rected by Wil­liam Pervez which was rep­re­sen­ta­tive of hu­man feel­ings re­flected bit­ter­ness of life and hu­man be­hav­ior.

Mem­ber Na­tional As­sem­bly (MNA) Aasiya Nasir was Chief Guest while Res­i­dent Di­rec­tor RAC Waqar Ahmed was also present on the oc­ca­sion.

The story of the play re­volves around a woman whose hus­band left her on the day of wed­ding and came back af­ter 40 years.

Re­morse and love re­flects in her con­ver­sa­tion. Both the char­ac­ters de­scribes in­ci­dents com­pris­ing bit­ter­ness of past dur­ing 40 years of sep­a­ra­tion but her hus­band re­mains in cir­cle of male chau­vin­ism and slaps his wife sus­pect­ing on her char­ac­ter which left deep in her mind and soul and she left him for­ever.—APP
