Cap­i­tal Po­lice of­fi­cials to be re­warded

IS­LAM­ABAD—Min­is­ter for In­te­rior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thurs­day ap­pre­ci­ated per­for­mance of Is­lam­abad Po­lice for re­solv­ing a blind mur­der case and an­nounced re­ward for four po­lice of­fi­cials.

The Spe­cial In­ves­tiga­tive Unit (SIU) of Is­lam­abad Po­lice headed by Su­per­in­ten­dent of Po­lice (SP) Cap­tain (Retd) Ilyas re­solved the blind mur­der case, bust­ing a gang of six per­sons.

The gang­sters used to rob in­no­cent peo­ple draw­ing money from lo­cal banks in twin cities.

Four Is­lam­abad Po­lice’s SIU of­fi­cials - S P Cap­tain (Retd) Ilyas, In­spec­tor As­lam, In­spec­tor Raja Ra­hat, As­sis­tant Sub-In­spec­tor (ASI) Rana Tasleem and Head Con­sta­ble Za­hoor were part of the team in­ves­ti­gat­ing the case.

The ar­rested gang was in­volved in at­tempted rob­bery and mur­der of an in­no­cent vic­tim, a res­i­dent of Bara Kahu. The vic­tim was mur­dered on April 23 this year, dur­ing an at­tempted rob­bery by gang­sters. As per de­tails shared by Is­lam­abad Po­lice with Min­is­ter for In­te­rior, it was re­vealed that a six-mem­ber gang ap­plied dis­creet methods for their po­ten­tial preys (in­di­vid­u­als) for draw­ing money from var­i­ous banks of Rawalpindi and Is­lam­abad.
