COAS’s state­ment re­flects na­tional as­pi­ra­tions: At­tique Kash­miris stand by armed forces of Pak­istan

HAMEED SHA­HEEN IS­LAM­ABAD —Sar­dar At­tique Ahmed Khan, Pres­i­dent Mus­lim Con­fer­ence and ex-premier of AJK has wel­comed the bold state­ment of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Ra­heel Sharif about the re­cent fla­grant vi­o­la­tion of Pak­istan’s ter­ri­to­rial space by Amer­i­can ae­rial strike in Baluchis­tan. In a state­ment here on Thurs­day Sar­dar At­tique Khan said COAS’s state­ment is ex­pres­sive of as­pi­ra­tions of the na­tion from Karachi to Kash­mir. We fully sup­port the re­solve of the Army Chief. We unswerv­ingly stand by the brave armed forces of Pak­istan in all times to face all chal­lenges. The bound­aries and ter­ri­tory of Pak­istan is sacred, dearer to us all than our own lives, he added.

He paid rich­est homage and tributes to the armed forces of Pak­istan for their un­match­ing sac­ri­fices against all neg­a­tive el­e­ments and de­struc­tive forces. Pak­istan’s de­fense forces have writ­ten a new his­tory. Our na­tion is proud of their peace role and strong­est re­sponse to the nat­u­ral calami­ties as well as ful­fill­ing their world peace keep­ing obli­ga­tions.

Gen­eral Ra­heel Sharif in his state­ment had on Thurs­day said, in re­gard to Amer­ica’s re­cent strike in Baluchis­tan, that ‘con­dem­na­tion is a very small word’ , re­flec­tive of the na­tional re­solve and com­mit­ment to de­fend ev­ery inch of the sa- cred home­land. Sar­dar At­tique said that the whole world must ac­knowl­edge the im­mense sac­ri­fices by the armed forces of Pak­istan in stem­ming off ris­ing neg­a­tivism from the for­ward ar­eas of Pak­istan. No other na­tion has made that tow­er­ing sac­ri­fices as did the brave armed forces of Pak­istan. Pak­istan, he said, is the cen­tre of hope of 17 mil­lion peo­ple of Jammu and Kash­mir and they stand by the armed forces of Pak­istan res­o­lutely at this hour.

Kash­miri sac­ri­fices are in fact aimed at es­tab­lish­ing durable peace in South­ern Asia, he as­serted.

Sar­dar At­tique Khan said that each year on De­cem­ber 10 his party ob­serves the Day of Kash­miris Sol­i­dar­ity with the Armed Forces of Pak­istan. We are highly in­debted to the de­fense forces of Pak­istan for de­fend­ing Azad Jammu and Kash­mir against the ag­gres­sive de­signs of en­emy – In­dia who is oc­cu­py­ing greater area of J&K il­le­gally in vi­o­la­tion of the UN Se­cu­rity Coun­cil res­o­lu­tions.
