Fu­ture Hopes train­ing camp kicks-off

MUL­TAN—Three-month free train­ing camp “Fu­ture Hopes” for school­child­ren or­ga­nized by District Ta­ble Tennis as­so­ci­a­tion (DTTA) have been kicked­off at District Sports Ground Gym­na­sium Hall.

Talk­ing to me­dia per­sons here on Wed­nes­day pres­i­dent District Ta­ble Tennis As­so­ci­a­tion Khawaja Has­san Wadood said that free train­ing was be­ing of­fered to school­child­ren in­clud­ing male and fe­male.

He said that only two fe­male stu­dents of Govern­ment Com­pre­hen­sive School have re­sponded so far while over­all ten chil­dren in­clud­ing eight play­ers of fed­er­a­tion were par­tic­i­pat­ing in the camp ini­tially.

He in­formed that they were send­ing re­minder to var­i­ous govern­ment and pri­vate schools for par­tic­i­pa­tion of chil­dren in the train­ing camp.

He in­formed that na­tional Ta­ble Tennis player Hafiz Zee­shan Haider was im­part­ing train­ing to chil­dren.

He said that the tim­ing of the camp would be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily while 8.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. dur­ing the month of Ra­mazan.

Khawaja said that ta­ble tennis play­ers from var­i­ous schools un­der-14 could par­tic­i­pate in the camp. He said that an event would be or­ga­nized at the end of the camp.—APP
