PPP condemns KE’s disconnection campaign just before Ramazan
KARACHI—Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s leaders Najmi Alam, Sardar Khan, Izhar Ul Haq, Hassan Zai and Lateef Arain have condemned K-Electric’s (KE) act of disconnecting electricity in various mega residential blocks in different parts of the metropolis.
In a statement issued from PPP Media Cell Sindh on Thursday, the PPP leaders said that it has been observed that the K-Electric always launches disconnection campaign on the advent of various festivals and especially with the start of the holy month of Ramazan-ulMubarak. They said that the K-Electric has also deprived those consumers who regularly pay their monthly electricity bills on the pretext of electricity theft and illegal connections in which KE’s officers and employees are directly involved. They said the K-Electric has created problems for the people on the advent of Ramadan.—APP
