IIRO sends first Ra­mazan pack­age to 15 cities

IS­LAM­ABAD—Is­lamic In­ter­na­tional Re­lief Or­gan­i­sa­tion (IIRO) Fri­day sent first Ra­mazan pack­age for over three thou­sand poor fam­i­lies of var­i­ous cities of the coun­try. As many as 15 trucks fully loaded with items of daily were sent to 15 cities of the coun­try. Saudi Am­bas­sador Ab­dul­lah Mar­zouq Al Zahrani, Deputy Chair­man Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri sent the first con­voy of 15 trucks to their re­spec­tive cities.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion, Re­gional Di­rec­tor IIRO Dr Abdo Muham­mad Ateen said that the IIRO plans to send Ra­mazan re­lief pack- ages to over 15,000 fam­i­lies of the coun­try dur­ing en­su­ing Ra­mazan ul Mubarak. Each pack­age con­tains pack­ets of flour, pulses, sugar, cook­ing oil, rice, dates, basin, salt and Tang pack­ets. The re­lief items have been sent to var­i­ous cities in­clud­ing Jhelum, Ba­hawalpur, Rawalpindi, Mul­tan, Swabi, Pe­shawar, Wazirabad Balakot etc.

Deputy Chair­man Senate Maulana Abdul Gah­foor Haideri lauded the ser­vices of IIRO to the suf­fer­ing hu­man­ity. Saudi Ara­bia has helped the coun­try dur­ing all nat­u­ral calami­ties, he added. He said, IIRO was also pro­vid­ing fa­cil­i­ties to or­phans, ar­ranges Hifz con­tests at in­ter­na­tional level, pro­vid­ing drink­ing wa­ter fa­cil­i­ties, con­struct­ing small mosques and also ed­u­ca­tional fa­cil­i­ties.

Am­bas­sador of Saudi Ara­bia in Pak­istan Ab­dul­lah Mar­zouq Al Zahrani said, Pak-Saudi firend­ship is ex­em­plary. Saudi peo­ple and rulers are with the peo­ple of Pak­istan. Ser­vices of Saudi King Shah Ab­dul­lah are un-matched for the peo­ple of Pak­istan. He said more Ra­mazan pack­age would be sent to across the coun­try to pro­vide re­lief to the poor peo­ple of Pak­istan.—APP
