IIRO sends first Ramazan package to 15 cities
ISLAMABAD—Islamic International Relief Organisation (IIRO) Friday sent first Ramazan package for over three thousand poor families of various cities of the country. As many as 15 trucks fully loaded with items of daily were sent to 15 cities of the country. Saudi Ambassador Abdullah Marzouq Al Zahrani, Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri sent the first convoy of 15 trucks to their respective cities.
Speaking on the occasion, Regional Director IIRO Dr Abdo Muhammad Ateen said that the IIRO plans to send Ramazan relief pack- ages to over 15,000 families of the country during ensuing Ramazan ul Mubarak. Each package contains packets of flour, pulses, sugar, cooking oil, rice, dates, basin, salt and Tang packets. The relief items have been sent to various cities including Jhelum, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Multan, Swabi, Peshawar, Wazirabad Balakot etc.
Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Gahfoor Haideri lauded the services of IIRO to the suffering humanity. Saudi Arabia has helped the country during all natural calamities, he added. He said, IIRO was also providing facilities to orphans, arranges Hifz contests at international level, providing drinking water facilities, constructing small mosques and also educational facilities.
Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan Abdullah Marzouq Al Zahrani said, Pak-Saudi firendship is exemplary. Saudi people and rulers are with the people of Pakistan. Services of Saudi King Shah Abdullah are un-matched for the people of Pakistan. He said more Ramazan package would be sent to across the country to provide relief to the poor people of Pakistan.—APP
