Jha­gra eu­lo­gises forces, trib­als’ anti-ter­ror war role

PE­SHAWAR—The Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Gover­nor Engr. Iqbal Za­far Jha­gra has said that pa­tri­otic tribal elders and armed forces had ren­dered great sac­ri­fices in the war against ter­ror­ism for the peace of en­tire re­gion adding that their sac­ri­fices will not go in vain. He said we all have to re­al­ize our re­spon­si­bil­i­ties and must play their due role for the main­te­nance of last­ing peace.

He said that fu­ture of FATA would be de­cided in line with the wishes and pop­u­lar will of tribal peo­ple as only the tribes­men had the right to de­cide about their fu­ture. He was talk­ing to a rep­re­sen­ta­tive del­e­ga­tion of Bet­tani tribe from FR Lakki led by MNA South Waziris­tan Agency, Ghalib Khan Ad­vo­cate who called on him here at Gover­nor’s House, Pe­shawar on Fri­day.

Speak­ing at the oc­ca­sion, the Gover­nor Iqbal Za­far Jha­gra said that main­te­nance of last­ing peace was the top most pri­or­ity of the in­cum­bent Govern­ment adding that ev­ery pos­si­ble step would be taken to en­sure all the ba­sic pos­si­ble fa­cil­i­ties to the tribal peo­ple. He said that our se­cu­rity forces and tribes­men had ren­dered great sac­ri­fices in the war against ter­ror­ism adding that whole the na­tion held their sac­ri­fice in a high es­teem.

On the oc­ca­sion, the mem­bers of the del­e­ga­tion ap­prised the Gover­nor about the prob­lems and dif­fi­cul­ties which the peo­ple of the area are faced with and put for­ward their sug­ges­tions. The Gover­nor as­sured them to re­solve their prob­lems on pri­or­ity.
