Jhagra eulogises forces, tribals’ anti-terror war role
PESHAWAR—The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that patriotic tribal elders and armed forces had rendered great sacrifices in the war against terrorism for the peace of entire region adding that their sacrifices will not go in vain. He said we all have to realize our responsibilities and must play their due role for the maintenance of lasting peace.
He said that future of FATA would be decided in line with the wishes and popular will of tribal people as only the tribesmen had the right to decide about their future. He was talking to a representative delegation of Bettani tribe from FR Lakki led by MNA South Waziristan Agency, Ghalib Khan Advocate who called on him here at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Friday.
Speaking at the occasion, the Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that maintenance of lasting peace was the top most priority of the incumbent Government adding that every possible step would be taken to ensure all the basic possible facilities to the tribal people. He said that our security forces and tribesmen had rendered great sacrifices in the war against terrorism adding that whole the nation held their sacrifice in a high esteem.
On the occasion, the members of the delegation apprised the Governor about the problems and difficulties which the people of the area are faced with and put forward their suggestions. The Governor assured them to resolve their problems on priority.
