Ex-MPA’s hus­band shoots driver to death

HAFIZABAD—A young man of Mo­hal­lah Ta­jpura was shot at and killed by the hus­band of ex-lady MPA and three oth­ers last night. The po­lice have reg­is­tered a case against Saqib Hayat Man­gat, hus­band of ex-MPA Laila Muqad­das, her fa­ther-in-law Khizar Hayat Man­gat, Sar­fraz Ab­bas and Has­san Ab­bas who are still at large.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice source, de­ceased Muham­mad Us­man had worked as driver of Laila Muqad­das but due to some rea­sons he left the em­ploy­ment and de­manded the pay­ment of his out­stand­ing salar­ies but af­ter some­time Khizar Hayat got reg­is­tered a theft case against the de­ceased, which was later, proved false and was dis­charged.

Yes­ter­day de­ceased de­manded the pay­ment of his out­stand­ing ar­rears but the ac­cused al­legedly hurled threats of dire con­se­quences. The de­ceased was on way to his house and when reached near Park Road the ac­cused al­legedly thrashed him and later shot at and killed him on the spot.
