Hur­riyet lead­ers re­main un­der de­ten­tion

SRINAGAR—The pup­pet author­i­ties con­tinue to de­tain al­most all top Hur­riyet lead­ers to pre­vent them from lead­ing demon­stra­tions, to­day, against In­dia’s anti-Kash­mir poli­cies in the ter­ri­tory.

Call for hold­ing of the demon­stra­tions af­ter Juma prayers has been jointly given by the top pro-free­dom lead­ers, Syed Ali Gi­lani, Mir­waiz Umar Fa­rooq and Muham­mad Yasin Ma­lik to protest against In­dia’s plans to con­struct sep­a­rate colonies for re­tired In­dian sol­diers and Kash­miri Pan­dits, ha­rass­ment of Jammu Mus­lims, Delhi’s so-called In­dus­trial Pol­icy in Kash­mir and de­ten­tion of Hur­riyet lead­ers.

The oc­cu­pa­tion author­i­ties con­tinue to place Hur­riyet lead­ers and ac­tivists in­clud­ing Syed Ali Gi­lani, Mir­waiz Umar Fa­rooq, Muham­mad Yasin Ma­lik, Shab­bir Ah­mad Shah.—KMS
