KP-EZDMC plans to develop 16 new economic zones
PESHAWAR—After completely selling out 1424 acres of Hattar Economic, Zone Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZMDC) plans to develop 16 new economic zones throughout the province in next few years. Due to excellent response from investors KPEZDMC will launch Rashakai, Jalozai and Ghazi economic zones in next few months. Applications for zones which have not yet been launched are being received by KPEZDMC indicating investor confidence. The KP Industrial Policy 2016, SEZ status of economic zones and one window operations by KPEZDMC has greatly attracted industrialists across the country to invest in KP.
In last one year no factory has closed and reports of factories being shut due to terrorism or lack of government attention are baseless. In a meeting held in Peshawar, State Bank Governor instructed CEOs of various banks to reinvest billions of deposits received in KP in the province. KPEZDMC will facilitate the industrialists in getting loans by banks for rapid industrialization. Expats are very enthusiastic about developments in KP. In this regard Chairman KPEZMDC Ghulam Dastagir and CEO KPEZDMC Mohsin Syed visited Riyadh.
