Bi­lawal takes no­tice of atroc­ity on woman

ISLAMABAD—Chair­man PPP Bi­lawal Bhutto Zar­dari has taken no­tice of an in­ci­dent in which a woman Shazia Marri was se­ri­ously wounded al­legedly by her hus­band and others for giv­ing birth to a baby girl near Faiz Gunj in Khair­pur district. He di­rected the Sindh govern­ment to ar­rest the cul­prits im­me­di­ately and bring them be­fore law. In a state­ment is­sued by party sec­re­tar­iat, Bi­lawal Bhutto said that such atroc­i­ties against the women should be taken se­ri­ously by the ad­min­is­tra­tion with­out any de­lay and pro­tec­tion of women should be the pri­or­ity of the govern­ment and its au­thor­i­ties ev­ery­where in the prov­ince.

Mean­while PPP Chair­man ex­pressed sym­pa­thy with the poor woman and also di­rected Sindh govern­ment to ar­range best med­i­cal treat­ment for her be­sides pro­vid­ing her pro­tec­tion from the cul­prits in­volved in the at­tack. Chair­man PPP Bi­lawal Bhutto Zar­dari has ex­pressed deep grief and sor­row over the demise of world’s great­est heavy-weight box­ing leg­end M Ali. “M Ali was not only a great­est sports­man but also among great­est hu­man be­ing who fought against his op­po­nents with same spirit whether it was box­ing ring or against racism and dis­crim­i­na­tion against his peo­ple,” he said in a stat­ment is­sued by party sec­re­tar­iat.—APP
