BAHAWALPUR— Pro­vin­cial Min­is­ter for Co­op­er­a­tives Ma­lik Muham­mad Iqbal Chan­nar wel­comed the Chief Min­is­ter Pun­jab’s Rs. 5 bil­lion Ramzan Pack­age. Talk­ing to APP here Mon­day, he said that Ramzan Pack­age would serve as an eco­nomic re­lief for the con­sumers dur­ing the Holy month of Ramzan. He said that Chief Min­is­ter Pun­jab has evolved a sys­tem­atic frame-work to reg­u­late and re­duce prices of the ba­sic com­mod­ity items. He said that 300 Ramzan Bazars and 25 Ramzan Model Bazars have been set up in the prov­ince where items in­clud­ing sugar, ghee, chicken, fruits and veg­eta­bles are avail­able at eco­nom­i­cal prices. Mean­while, it is re­ported from Pe­shawar that the district Ad­min­is­tra­tion on Mon­day con­ducted raided in var­i­ous mar­kets to check prof­i­teer­ing and hoard­ing ahead of holy month of Ramzan and ar­rested 24 prof­i­teers.—APP
