Afghan Envoy, Siraj discuss bilateral matters
ISLAMABAD—Ambassador of Afghanistan in Pakistan, Dr. Umar Zakhilwal called on the Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq here on Monday and besides discussing issues of mutual interests, on behalf of Afghan President, Ashraf Ghani extended him an invitation to visit his country.
While talking to Afghan Ambassador, Senator Sirajul Haq said that the JI desired reconciliation and dialogue for peace among different Afghan groups.
Sirajul Haq further said that Afghanistan and Pakistan were like two bodies with a single heart and their interests and wellbeing were interlinked.
The two states, he said, were linked through the eternal bonds of Islam which could not be shaken by any worldly power.
He said that peaceful Afghanistan was the need of Pakistan herself. —INP
