OIC SG felicitates Muslims on Ramazan
JEDDAH—The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Iyad Ameen Madani expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes for the Muslim Ummah on the Holy Month Ramadan 1437 H. He prayed to the Almighty to protect the Islamic world from the woes of strife, fragmentation and disputes.
He implored Allah (SWT) to accept from Muslims their fasting and prayers, to guide the leaders of the Muslim Ummah to promote Islamic solidarity, and to establish peace and security. The Secretary General said that these blessed days provide an opportunity to underline the values of generosity and the embodiment of fairness, tolerance and coexistence.
Madani expressed grief that the month of forgiveness commences while parts of the Islamic world are languishing under the yoke of wars, conflicts and humanitarian crises. The Secretary General drew attention to the sufferance of some Muslim minorities.—Email
