OIC SG fe­lic­i­tates Mus­lims on Ra­mazan

JEDDAH—The Secretary Gen­eral of the Or­ga­ni­za­tion of Is­lamic Co­op­er­a­tion, Iyad Ameen Madani ex­pressed his sin­cere con­grat­u­la­tions and best wishes for the Mus­lim Ummah on the Holy Month Ra­madan 1437 H. He prayed to the Almighty to pro­tect the Is­lamic world from the woes of strife, frag­men­ta­tion and dis­putes.

He im­plored Al­lah (SWT) to ac­cept from Mus­lims their fast­ing and prayers, to guide the lead­ers of the Mus­lim Ummah to pro­mote Is­lamic sol­i­dar­ity, and to es­tab­lish peace and se­cu­rity. The Secretary Gen­eral said that th­ese blessed days pro­vide an op­por­tu­nity to un­der­line the values of gen­eros­ity and the em­bod­i­ment of fair­ness, tol­er­ance and co­ex­is­tence.

Madani ex­pressed grief that the month of for­give­ness com­mences while parts of the Is­lamic world are lan­guish­ing un­der the yoke of wars, con­flicts and hu­man­i­tar­ian crises. The Secretary Gen­eral drew at­ten­tion to the suf­fer­ance of some Mus­lim mi­nori­ties.—Email
