PDP acting as agent of new East India Company Rajnath remarks on Kashmir denounced
for a 29 year-old concocted case registered against him during a public meeting organized by the then Muslim United Front (MUF) in 1987.
Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested by Indian police and was shifted to central jail in Srinagar. Meanwhile, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in their separate statements issued in Srinagar, today, termed the Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s remarks on Kashmir as misleading and ridiculous.
They said that Jammu and Kashmir was not a part of India, but an internationally recognized dispute, whose decision was pending with the United Nations. Rajnath Singh had recently said that part of Kashmir under Indian occupation was resolved long ago and it was Azad Kashmir which needed to be addressed.
Pro-freedom leaders and organisations in their statements condemned the victimisation of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik by Indian authorities. Hurriyet leader Zafar Akbar Butt and Sikh leader Narender Khalisa addressing a Meet the Press programme in Muzaffarabad, today, reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve not to allow India and its stooges to change demography of Jammu and Kashmir by settling non-locals in the occupied territory.
In Brussels, the Chairman of Kashmir Council European Union, Ali Raza Syed in a statement urged the international community to take notice of torture and detention of Hurriyet leaders in occupied Kashmir.—KMS
