Kashmiris won’t allow change of demography: Zafar, Narender
OUR CORRESPONDENT MUZAFFARABAD —The Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt and Sikh leader Narender Khalisa have reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve not to allow India and its stooges to change demography of Jammu and Kashmir by settling non-locals in the garb of Pandits in the occupied territory.
Zafar Akbar Butt and Narender Khalisa who are on a visit to Pakistan, were addressing a ‘Meet the Press’ programme in Muzaffarabad, today. They said that India had imprisoned the entire Kashmiri leadership either under house arrest or behind the bars to keep a distance between Hurriyet leadership and Kashmiri people.
They welcomed the bold stance adopted by the Gov- ernment of Pakistan and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Kashmir and said that they had much expectations from Pakistan regarding settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
The Kashmiri leaders said that under principals of base camp, the President and Prime Minister of AJK were also the President and Prime Minister of the people of occupied Kashmir. The said it was the responsibility of the base camp to project the Kashmir dispute at every forum.
Zafar Akbar Butt and Narender Khalisa said that the people of Kashmir were supporting the Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, adding that strong Pakistan was a guarantee to the freedom of Kashmir. They said that Amanullah Khan, Maqbool Butt, Afzal Guru. Shamsul Haq and Abdul Majeed Dar were the heroes of the Kashmiri people.
