Kash­miris won’t al­low change of de­mog­ra­phy: Za­far, Naren­der

OUR COR­RE­SPON­DENT MUZAF­FARABAD —The Jammu and Kash­mir Sal­va­tion Move­ment (JKSM) Chair­man, Za­far Ak­bar Butt and Sikh leader Naren­der Khal­isa have re­it­er­ated the Kash­miris’ re­solve not to al­low In­dia and its stooges to change de­mog­ra­phy of Jammu and Kash­mir by set­tling non-lo­cals in the garb of Pan­dits in the oc­cu­pied ter­ri­tory.

Za­far Ak­bar Butt and Naren­der Khal­isa who are on a visit to Pak­istan, were ad­dress­ing a ‘Meet the Press’ pro­gramme in Muzaf­farabad, to­day. They said that In­dia had im­pris­oned the en­tire Kash­miri lead­er­ship ei­ther un­der house ar­rest or be­hind the bars to keep a dis­tance be­tween Hur­riyet lead­er­ship and Kash­miri peo­ple.

They wel­comed the bold stance adopted by the Gov- ern­ment of Pak­istan and Army Chief Gen­eral Ra­heel Sharif on Kash­mir and said that they had much ex­pec­ta­tions from Pak­istan re­gard­ing set­tle­ment of the Kash­mir dis­pute.

The Kash­miri lead­ers said that un­der prin­ci­pals of base camp, the Pres­i­dent and Prime Min­is­ter of AJK were also the Pres­i­dent and Prime Min­is­ter of the peo­ple of oc­cu­pied Kash­mir. The said it was the re­spon­si­bil­ity of the base camp to project the Kash­mir dis­pute at ev­ery fo­rum.

Za­far Ak­bar Butt and Naren­der Khal­isa said that the peo­ple of Kash­mir were sup­port­ing the Pak­istan China Eco­nomic Cor­ri­dor (CPEC) project, ad­ding that strong Pak­istan was a guar­an­tee to the free­dom of Kash­mir. They said that Aman­ul­lah Khan, Maq­bool Butt, Afzal Guru. Sham­sul Haq and Ab­dul Ma­jeed Dar were the he­roes of the Kash­miri peo­ple.
