NCCPL im­ple­ments busi­ness con­ti­nu­ity frame­work

KARACHI —Na­tional Clear­ing Com­pany of Pak­istan Lim­ited (NCCPL), which pro­vides clear­ing and set­tle­ment ser­vices to Pak­istan Stock Ex­change, an­nounced that the Com­pany has im­ple­mented a Busi­ness Con­ti­nu­ity Frame­work in a bid to strengthen its state-ofthe-art Sys­tem.

For this pur­pose, NCCPL suc­cess­fully con­ducted a full day Dis­as­ter Re­cov­ery (DR) drill where ser­vices were pro­vided to all LAN, Di­alup and Re­mote clients through a re­mote DR/ Al­ter­nate Pro­cess­ing Site dur­ing busi­ness hours.

Be­ing an ISO 27001 cer­ti­fied or­ga­ni­za­tion, Busi­ness Con­ti­nu­ity Frame­work al­lows NCCPL to en­sure ser­vices that are crit­i­cal to its ob­jec­tives in or­der to con­tinue work­ing de­spite the oc­cur­rence of a po­ten­tially dis­rup­tive event, sta­bi­lize the ef­fects of such an event, re­turn to nor­mal op­er­a­tions as quickly as pos­si­ble and build high level of re­silience to ev­ery­day dis­rup­tive events. It fur­ther en­sures best prac­tices, fa­vor­ing the in­dus­try, so­ci­ety and govern­ment, re­sult­ing in im­proved qual­ity and en­hanced cus­tomer sat­is­fac­tion.
