Amir is fu­ture of Pak­istani cricket: Wasim Akram

IPak­istan Cricket team cap­tain and fast bowler Wasim Akram praised Muham­mad Amir, call­ing him the ‘fu­ture’ of Pak­istani cricket.

Talk­ing to a pri­vate news chan­nel, Wasim said that Amir was a bril­liant bowler and that he was the fu­ture of cricket in the coun­try.

Wasim also dis­closed the ad­vice that he gave to Amir.

“I told Amir to fo­cus on only one thing; cricket. Leave ev­ery­thing else,” he said.

Wasim also said that one al­ways en­coun­tered chal­lenges in life. How­ever, he also said that one should know how to tackle and han­dle those chal­lenges.

To a ques­tion, Wasim also said that he was bad at stud­ies dur­ing his school days and his only fo­cus was at sports.

Pak­istani fast bowler Muham­mad Amir made his come­back to the na­tional side last year af­ter a five-year ban. Amir made it back to the na­tional squad and per­formed well in this year’s ICC World T20 Cham­pi­onship.

For the up­com­ing Eng­land tour, Amir was picked by Pak­istan to play for the coun­try how­ever, the crick­eter is still await­ing his visa.— APP
