Aaqib Javed refuses to serve as bowling coach for BD
ISLAMABAD—Former Pakistani Test player Aaqib Javed on Monday has refused to serve as Bangladesh’s bowling coach.
According to a private news channel quoting sources said that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) approached Aaqib Javed to become teams bowling coach but he refused the offer due to his services for cricket in Pakistan.
Recently, Aaqib Javed was appointed as director for Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League while he is also likely to be the bowling consultant for national team.
Earlier, former bowler Aaqib Javed resigned from coaching post of United Arab Emirates (UAE) team.
He was appointed as coach to UAE team in 2012 that performed stunningly in Asia Cup under his guidance.—APP
