Three killed in attack on wine shop
KARACHI—Police reported Monday that 3 persons were killed in an attack on a wine shop in Sachal Goth area by 3 motorcyclists. One them ,a guard was identified as Shahid Khan, while the remaining 2 were Tara Chand and Heera Lal.
Reports that the shop on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road was owned by a minority community member, Naro Lal.
Two helmet-wearing persons had earlier shot the guard, then opened the shop by breaking its windowpane, and then shot two others dead. Naromal had earlier received extortions threats at his Korangi wine shop.
Meanwhile, extortionists once again spread terror in the city as three persons were killed in firing incident on a shop near the area of Gulshane-Iqbal, Abu AlHassan Road here on late Sunday night.
Malir SSP Rao Anwar said that the shop-owner had received threats earlier in Korangi and police had been investigating the matter as an extortion case. Police revealed that deceased people included a security guard and two shopkeepers.
Initial reports revealed that two terrorists belonging to a ban outfit were involved in killing of the three persons while three 9mm bullet shells had also been recovered from the scene.—INP photo
