Harsh Dev Singh Said that the unprecedented power crisis during scorching summer has thrown life out of gear in both urban and rural areas.
He regretted that despite the pathetic plight of the people, the elected representatives had failed to effectively project their concerns in the Assembly.
He deplored that rather than assuring a fair deal to the Jammu people, the BJP MLAs were shamelessly agitating in the Assembly for enhancement of their salaries, perks and CDF.
Strongly flaying the callous and insensitive attitude of the PDD, he said that the people of Jammu region are made to suffer immense hardships due to scorching heat with no respite from scheduled and unscheduled power cuts despite assurances.
He said that the Jammu region was the major sufferer with the government and its ministers being mute spectators in the face of a critical and crisis like situation.
Citing figures, he said that the power consumption between Jammu and Kashmir regions is in the ratio of 40:60, respectively but when it comes to revenue realization.
