Pak­istan Army Vol­ley­ball team wins se­ries against Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD—The Pak­istan Army Vol­ley­ball team has won the In­ter-Reg­i­ment Vol­ley­ball Cham­pi­onship 2016 held in Sri Lanka. Com­man­dant, Sri Lanka Army Vol­un­teer Force, Ma­jor Gen­eral Channa Goonetilleke, was the chief guest on the oc­ca­sion and dis­trib­uted prizes to win­ning and runners-up teams said a press re­lease re­ceived here on Tues­day from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Pak­istan Army Vol­ley­ball Team took part as a for­eign coun­try for the first time in the his­tory of this cham­pi­onship, on the invitation of Sri Lanka Army Vol­un­teer Force.

The In­ter-Reg­i­ment Vol­ley­ball Cham­pi­onship 2016 was or­ga­nized by the Sri Lanka Army Vol­un­teer Force.

The cham­pi­onships serve as the launch pad for na­tional and in­ter­na­tional recog­ni­tion of tal­ented sports­men and women, be­sides gen­er­at­ing healthy sport­ing com­pe­ti­tions.—APP
