To at­tract youth, sports grounds to be re­ha­bil­i­ated

KARACHI—Not only sports grounds would be re­ha­bil­i­ated but flood-light would be in­stalled there to pro­vide max­i­mum sports op­por­tu­ni­ties to the youth of Sindh prov­ince.

Chief Sec­re­tary Sindh Sid­dique Me­mon ex­pressed these views af­ter in­agu­ra­tion of flood­light in­stal­la­tion at Naz­imabad Gymkhana Ground.

He would him­slf play an im­por­tant role in this re­gards, he as­sured adding that dur­ing cur­rent year flood-light would be func­tional at TMC Ground Gul­berg.

Such fa­cil­i­ties would not only pro­mote the game of cricket but would en­cour­age emerging tal­ented youth of Karachi and Sindh to­wards var­i­ous games, he added.

Pay­ing rich trib­ute to Pro­fes­sor Ai­jaz Farooq for de­vel­op­ment of KCCA Cricket, he said that the free cricket cul­ture was be­ing pro­moted there un­der su­per­vi­sion of Pro­fes­sor Fa­rooqi.

Pres­i­dent KCCA Pro­fes­sor Ai­jaz Fa­rooqi said that if such co­op­er­a­tion from you con­tinue, it will pro­mote cricket thus more cricket stars will emerge in the fu­ture.

On the oc­ca­sion, Sec­re­tary Sports and Youth Af­fairs Muham­mad Rashid, Chief En­gi­neer Muham­mad As­lam Ma­har, Cap­tain Fa­reed u Din, Deputy Com­mis­sioner Cen­tral, Sec­re­tary KCCA Shafiq Kazmi and oth­ers were present.—APP
