SHC seeks detailed report on Dr Asim’s brother-in-law
KARACHI—The SHC Tuesday called for a detailed report from the NAB investigators who had disclosed that Dr Asim’s brother-in-law Khalid Bin Shaheen had been involved in transferring huge sums of money to destinations outside Pakistan through illegal means
Asim, a former minister and close aide of exPresident Asif Zarari is facing charges of corruption and embezzling government funds. He has been under custody for quite a while. Khalid Bin Shaeen is being investigated in two references against Dr Asim, who the NAB prosecutor said had revealed informations about his relative. He had floated a company called Home Remittance through which money has been transferred abroad. Shaheen told the court that the rangers, FIA had been grilling him. The court asked NAB prosecutor place before it relevant material and a detailed report about him.
