Mohmand Jirga de­mol­ishes houses of mil­i­tants

MOHMAND AGENCY—The lo­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion along with Haleemzai tribal el­ders de­mol­ished over 12 houses of sus­pected mil­i­tants dur­ing a search op­er­a­tion in Haleemzai tehsil of Mohmand tribal re­gion on Wed­nes­day.

Po­lit­i­cal Ad­min­is­tra­tion said that the lo­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion con­ducted the de­mo­li­tion op­er­a­tion in ar­eas of MianGan, Shanikhel, Sami khel, Kh­wa­jawas and Dur­bakhel. They de­mol­ished houses of sus­pected mil­i­tants with ex­plo­sive ma­te­ri­als.

Three days ago se­cu­rity forces warned lo­cal tribes­men in a Jirga to per­form their role un­der col-lec­tive re­spon­si­bil­ity act oth­er­wise forces can con-duct op­er­a­tion Zar­b_e_Azb 3 in the area.

The houses of wanted mil­i­tantsA­man, Aziz, Yasir, Ziarat Shah, AdilBacha, Ad­nan, Mun­sif, Yaseen, Ameen Taj and Pir Zada and MianShakir were de­mol­ished. It will be men­tioned here that the lo­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion handed over wanted men list to the el­ders of Haleemzai tribal el­ders to de­mol­ish their houses.

The law and or­der sit­u­a­tion is not sat­is­fac­tory in Mohmand Agency and on daily bases se­cu­rity and peace net­works mem­bers are tar­gets of IEDs at­tacks. An of­fi­cial of the po­lit­i­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion said that they con­ducted the op­er­a­tion with the help of tribal el­ders of Haleemzai.

Dur­ing the past months sev­eral IEDs (Im­pro-vised Ex­plo­sives De­vices) were tar­geted the Khas-sadrs, FC, peace vol­un­teers and Levies forces in the area.

They also at­tacked on the Ghi­aba Levy Check Post with heavy weapons in the re­sult one levy per-sonal em­braced Sha­ha­dat. Be­sides oth­ers mil­i­tants came from across the bor­der at­tacks on lo­cal pop­u­la­tion and ex­tor­tion in the area.

Af­ter the suc­cess­ful mil­i­tary op­er­a­tion against mil­i­tants in the area Haleemzai tribe will hold Jir-gas. To­day in this con­nec­tion Haleemzai Tribal jirga de­cided a starts a joint ac­tiv­i­ties with lo­cal ad­mini-stra­tion and as­sured that they will fully sup­port the se­cu­rity forces in the area. They also said that they would not al­low any anti-state el­e­ments nor they will give shel­ter to them.
