Abid says no load­shed­ding at Sehri, If­tari, Tar­aveeh

ISLAMABAD—State Min­is­ter for Wa­ter and Power Abid Sher Ali on Wed­nes­day in­formed the Se­nate that no power load-shed­ding was be­ing car­ried out dur­ing Sa­heri, If­tari and Tarveeh timings across the coun­try.

Re­spond­ing to a Call­ing At­ten­tion No­tice moved by Mian Muham­mad Ateeq about un­sched­uled load shed­ding, the min­is­ter said that how­ever, load man­age­ment was be­ing ob­served in ar­eas of over 80 per­cent losses.

He said that un­in­ter­rupted power sup­ply was be­ing provided to around 94 per­cent ar­eas dur­ing the said timings. To a ques­tion, he said elec­tric­ity was not be­ing sup­plied to In­dus­try from 06:30 pm evening to 04:00 am morn­ing in or­der to en­sure smooth sup­ply to the do­mes­tic con­sumers dur­ing holy month of Ra­madan.—APP
