PU swim­mer with 13 gold medals calls on VC Kam­ran

LAHORE—Pun­jab Univer­sity’s ace swim­mer Sami­ul­lah who has set a new record in All Pak­istan In­terUniver­si­ties Swim­ming Cham­pi­onship called on PU Vice Chan­cel­lor, Mu­jahid Kam­ran here on Wed­nes­day.

Sami a stu­dent of ad­min­is­tra­tive sciences struck un­matched per­for­mance by win­ning 13 gold, 3 sil­ver and 2 bronze medals in 18 events in the com­pe­ti­tion or­ga­nized by Sports Board Pun­jab.

He was de­clared the best swim­mer of the com­pe­ti­tion which was won by Pun­jab univer­sity by se­cur­ing 278 points.

VC Mu­jahid Kam­ran con­grat­u­lated the swim­mer on his land­mark achieve­ment and ex­pressed the hope that he will be able to achieve new heights of ex­cel­lence by con­tin­u­ing hard work and show­ing more com­mit­ment and de­vo­tion in future as well. He said Sami with his su­perb per­for­mance and form brought lau­rels for his in­sti­tu­tion and urged the other stu­dents to fol­low his ex­am­ple. On the oc­ca­sion, Ad­di­tional Di­rec­tor Sports Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood was also present.—APP
