Upgra­da­tion of NSER to be another mile­stone of BISP: DG

KARACHI—Upgra­da­tion of Na­tional So­cio Eco­nomic Registry (NSER) will be another mile­stone of Be­nazir In­come Sup­port Pro­gramme (BISP), said Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of BISP, Naeem An­war.

While ad­dress­ing the beneficiaries of pro­gramme, he said the BISP has en­hanced its ef­forts for upgra­da­tion of NSER.

He said that mod­ern tech­niques would be uti­lized for new poverty sur­vey and no any kind of in­flu­ence will be tol­er­ated in this re­gard. Naeem said the BISP will en­sure that no any de­serv­ing peo­ple be left in sur­vey.

DG, BISP fur­ther stated that BISP is all set for the ini­tial phase of new sur­vey af­ter Ra­mazan af­ter which the sur­vey would be con­ducted across the coun­try in 2017. To en­sure trans­parency in sur­vey, desk ap­proach and ac­cess to homes meth­ods will be used.

Naeem said the sur­vey will be con­ducted free of cost and for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion con­tact near­est BISP of­fice.—APP
