Big projects brings big problems

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION - ILMA IRFAN

Recently the Federal government has launched a development project, Green Line Bus (BRTS); the civil work and construction of the Project has, therefore, been initiated in the city. The residents of the Central District Karachi are facing so much trouble these days because the main roads of North Nazimabad have blocked, some roads, with a lot of digging, are left unattended thus resulting in traffic jams in this area.

Nobody is willing to take responsibility to solve this problem. The absence of accountability is leading to feeling of frustration in public. Authorities should take notice, earmark and assign alternate traffic routes and Police be geared up to vigilantly regulate the traffic flow in the areas under the development project activity. — Via email
