The ad­vi­sor on for­eign af­fairs said the re­cent drone at­tack in which the Tal­iban leader Mul­lah Akhtar Man­soor was killed, has breached our sovereignty, caused a se­ri­ous set­back to the peace ef­forts and in­ten­si­fied hos­til­i­ties in Afghanistan.

Re­gard­ing re­la­tion with In­dia, the Ad­viser said Pak­istan was ready to dis­cuss com­pre­hen­sive di­a­logue with In­dia but the non-state ac­tors in form of Pathankot in­ci­dent spoil the talks.

Pak­istan has ex­pressed con­cern over grow­ing In­doUS de­fence re­la­tions say­ing it will dis­turb strate­gic and con­ven­tional bal­ance of power in South Asia, said Sar­taj Aziz added we will share our con­cerns with in­ter­na­tional com­mu­nity about threats to re­gional peace and sta­bil­ity.

In­dia talks about non-state ac­tors thus they have also con­cerns about state ter­ror­ism of In­dia, while they are try­ing to con­vince US about strate­gic nu­clear bal­ance in the re­gion.

He said Pak­istan has the right to main­tain min­i­mum nu­clear de­ter­rence to de­fend it­self in the given sit­u­a­tion.

Re­gard­ing Kash­mir he said that Pak­istan would con­tinue to sup­port Kash­miris in po­lit­i­cal, moral and diplo­matic ways.

Sar­taj Aziz stressed di­a­logue is the only way to so­lu­tion of all out­stand­ing is­sues be­tween Pak­istan and In­dia.

PM’s ad­viser said that Pak­istan’s re­la­tions with Euro­pean Union and Rus­sia are mov­ing in pos­i­tive di­rec­tion.

Sar­taj Aziz added other achieve­ments in­cluded in­creased co­op­er­a­tion with Cen­tral Asia coun­tries ob­tain­ing of full mem­ber­ship of Shang­hai Co­op­er­a­tion Or­ga­ni­za­tion and cre­ation of quadri­lat­eral Co­or­di­na­tion Group to fa­cil­i­tate Afghan peace process.
