Atiq Es­tate beat Dol­lar East in open­ing of Naya Naz­imabad Ra­mazan Cup

KARACHI—Atiq Es­tate de­feated de­fend­ing cham­pion Dol­lar East by nine runs as left arm spinner Muham­mad Sal­man took four wick­ets and Khur­ram Man­zoor made half cen­tury in the open­ing match of Naya Naz­imabad Ra­mazan Cup Cricket Tour­na­ment on Thurs­day.

Chas­ing 164 for vic­tory in the match of group A, Dol­lar East was re­stricted to 154 in 20 overs by debu­tant Atiq Es­tate here at the Lawai Sta­dium.

Tal­ented Sal­man ended with fig­ures of four wick­ets for 28 runs in four overs. Fel­low left arm spinner Kashif Sid­dique got two wick­ets for 26 runs.

Imam-ul-Haq nephew of for­mer Pak­istan cap­tain and chief se­lec­tor In­za­mam-ul-Haq, top-scored with 42 off 38 balls with two fours and one six. Mir Afzal smashed six bound­aries af­ter fac­ing 22 balls.—APP
