Deadly bowl­ing by Ak­bar leads North Shire to vic­tory in Su­per Cup

KARACHI—The un­beat­able bowl­ing helped North Shire Cricket club to beat Shamil Cricket Club by 29 runs in 2nd match of Naz­im­bad Su­per Cup T-20 Cricket Tour­na­ment at KCCA Sta­dium.

Bat­ting first, North Shire Cricket Club scored 145 runs for loss of 8 wick­ets in 20 overs.

Muham­mad Akhlaq blasted 51 runs in 41 de­liv­er­ies with the help of 2 fours and two sixes and Fazal Sub­han also showed ex­cel­lent per­for­mance in bat­ting by con­tribut­ing 31 runs with 2 fours and one six.

Off-Break Muham­mad Ilyas cap­tured 3 wick­ets for 21 runs and Haris Ayaz and Rashid Hanif took 2 wick­ets for 31 and 18 runs re­spec­tively.

Chas­ing, Shamil Cricket Club could not face deadly bowl­ing by ri­val op­po­nent and col­lapsed with 145 runs with loss of 8 wick­ets in 18.4 overs.

Tayyab Riaz hardly made the score of 48 with one four and 2 sixes and Ram Ravi ended with 22 runs.

Right-arm leg spinner, Ak­bar-u-Rehman grabbed 5 wick­ets for 21 runs and Us­man Khalid 2 wick­ets for 28 runs.
